Orly Star of Bombay

***Updated August 28, 2012***
Welcome to Lambchop Mobile! What you see below is before I learned how to properly clean up after painting my nails. (And proper application.) I keep these photos up to serve as a milestone along my journey and because I don't wish to hide the fact that I was terrible at doing my nails. I encourage you to browse my archives as well as visit my more recent posts. I think you'll find the evolution interesting as well!
P.S. This post was originally published on October 5, 2009. Things change.

Good morning.

The long awaited swatch of Star of Bombay is here. I decided to change my Autzen KOTD on Saturday night and this was calling out to me. A word of warning about the pics though: no clean up! I didn't feel like cleaning up then, I decided to wait until my morning shower to put myself back together.

Eek!

Orly is seriously brilliant. The above is showing one coat. And it dried VERY quickly. I have never had a polish be opaque in one and dry like that unless it was one of those quick dry jobbies that chip within an hour of wear. (Except you, SH Insta-Dri. You rock my socks.)

Star of Bombay is a gorgeous navy that does not look black. It shows a blue holo shimmer in bottle but that does not show up on nail. (Unless there is really bright light.) This dried with a rather satiny finish.

Oh yeah. This is hot rockin'!

Now here comes the super fun part. I had to use Orly Love Each Other over this to see what would happen.
The result? Happiness.

Check out the shimmer!

This amped up the blue and the purple glitter compliments the navy beautifully. This made me squeal with delight when I was applying it and I scared the cats a little. Whoops.

A little blurry to show the shimmer.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope your Monday treats you well. It's my "Thursday" and I can't wait for my weekend.
