Haul the bacon-y goodness!

Hey guys!
Just a quick post to show off some of the goodies I got for my birthday.
My friends definitely know me well and they get my sense of humour!

BACON!!!

Robert and Angi loaded me up with all kinds of fun bacon items. I have bacon band-aids, bacon dental floss, bacon toothpicks, bacon mints (surprisingly good), bacon soap, bacon lip balm and bacon air freshener.
You have no idea how excited I was to get these! My love of bacon is legendary, especially for the bacon chocolate bar. Mmm...
I did get one of those from my sister but I was all OM NOM NOM and it has since been devoured.
It was sublime.

Isn't this gorgeous?

My friend Jeromie gave me this vase and I was so touched and surprised. This is exactly the kind of thing I like. It's currently on my mantle and I love it. It totally works with the decor in my house and the darker woods of my furniture and flooring. Amazeballs!

Of course I got nail polish!

My dear friend/more like sister, Edica,  picked up these Sinful neons for me. She knows how much I *heart* Sinful. I have swatched them and they are fucking awesome. She also got me a couple of masque/facial treatment packs which came in handy when I was recovering from my epic hangover. I totes looked like dog shit until I used the soothing/calming masque.

I received a couple of Sally cards and some of what will be coming in the next few weeks will be the result of that. My sister gave me a super fun gift besides the bacon bar. She got me flowers, wine, gummy candy and a Powerball ticket. Sadly, I did not win the Powerball. If I had, y'all would be coming to a massive party in Cancun. Just sayin' is all. Oh well!

Finally, I want to show you my favorite thing. This again is from Robert and Angi. But i have to provide a little background. For years, I have had an in joke with my Old Navy peeps about eating babies. It's a morbid joke but it was funny to us. (But then again, we worked at Old Navy. We had to find something to keep our spirits up!) This joke has migrated to my current job and it's comforting to know that my pals are all as sick and twisted as I am.
That said, Rob and Angi were trying to find a baby shaped cake pan in which to make me a baby ice cream cake. They weren't able to find one so they got me this in consolation:

Baby Shower, heh, heh, heh.

OMG, it's hilarious! I haven't used it yet because I know the kittehs will totally eat those tiny things. So right now, it's on my vanity and it cracks me up when I see it. It's also next to the sexy birthday card from my work family. (Always let the gay guy pick out the card is what I say.)

I had to share this because it was too cool to keep to myself. My friends are pretty kick ass! I promise birthday pics to come. I have more than what I posted on Facebook but I need to do some serious editing!

So, who here has had the bacon bar? What say you: bacon + chocolate = AWESOME or no way?
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You got some fun gifts! I am assuming you're talking about Mo's Bacon Bar by Vosges? There is farm-themed restaurant in my area that sells all kind of bacon stuff, including many of the items you have pictured. They also sold the Mo's Bacon Bar. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. Bacon and chocolate? It hard for me to even imagine what that would taste like.

  3. Deb- It was the Vosges bar. OMG it's so freaking good! I would so love to visit the restaurant you mention. The only place here that has a special bacon anything is Voodoo Donuts. They have a maple bar that is topped with a slice of bacon. BUT I don't like maple nor donuts. So, yeah. Boo for me.

Skulda - Thanks! I think they're pretty awesome. I haven't yet tried the lip balm. I'm saving it for the next time I see my nephew. He always hits me up for lip balm and I totally want to prank him with this.
