Devastated

Good morning.

This is really hard for me to write because I don't want to share too much. However, I did tell you all that I had been having some health issues and after several doctor visits, I now know what is plaguing me. The best news is that I do not have cancer. That was probably the thing I was worried about most.
I do have to have an emergency procedure tomorrow and frankly, I am terrified. I'm grateful it can all be done on an outpatient basis but I'm worried about any complications AND getting right back to work.
I don't have the luxury of time to wait and schedule time off for myself and because my job has been changing, I'm afraid to make my boss feel inconvenienced. (And the past two weeks have been mass stress and being short handed. Did I also mention how I put insane amounts of pressure on myself at work anyway? Oy.)
Again, I have no time to wait at all. I have to have this procedure or things will be significantly worse.
So right now, I am a mess and I am scared to death.

My itinerant blogging will most likely continue but I am confident my health will be better and I hope to be bringing you pretty pictures of nail polish on a regular basis again after the New Year.
I will be carrying you all in my heart.

  2. If I get anything from your posts it's that you are a very strong Lady. It's normal to be scared, especially since it seems as you've had no time to "digest" your diagnosis and treatment! Geez- I'd be scared to death too if something like this was sprung on me all of a sudden.

I hear you on having work ethics. Difficult, yes, but just think, once this is all over and you're recovered, you will be 100% better to do what you do so well at work.

Sending you good wishes and positive energy!!!

  14. I'm so sorry you're having such a problem, but, as you said, your worst fear wasn't realized.

I'm a Lane County person too, but you're the only the second blogger I've ever come across here. It's funny in a way, but I know oodles of Aussie bloggers but only a very few Oregon bloggers.

    I hope you're feeling better.

Without your health, nothin' else matters...so keep that in mind while you're killin' yourself on the job.
