I feel cold as ice

Good morning.

I'm kind of sort of back. I mentioned before that I was dealing with a lot of transition. My job went through a lot of staffing and policy changes and my schedule has been all over the place. Things are starting to settle but it was fraught with a lot of uncertainty for awhile. I'm grateful to have a few days off to recover, spend time with my favorite people and hopefully, get back on top of this blog.

Today I have some random nail looks for you that I've done recently.

Urban Outfitters Green 11 topped with one coat
Cover Girl Boundless Color Pink Twinkle

If you do not have this Cover Girl top coat, I highly recommend it. It's a sheer pink jelly, loaded with golden flakes. Best of all, it is easily found at most drugstores that carry Cover Girl and it is teh cheap.

My next look was suggested by Matt and it was a great color combination but not the best execution.

Essence Just Rock It with
Color Club Magic Elf  nail art.
I do not know what I was thinking but I doubt it was division.
However, Magic Elf  is pretty damned magically lovely.

I didn't have a lot of time one morning to do my nails so I went with my standby of slapping glitters on and going for it. It has a nice icy look to it so it seems appropriate since it's been so effing cold.

Sally Hansen DVD, two coats
topped with two coats Color Club Snowflakes

My next look is what I've been sporting since Tuesday.

Three coats L.A. Girl Groupie
Two coats Cover Girl Pink Twinkle
Two coats NYX Purple Ave

No. I cannot stop when it comes to flakies. I cannot have enough flakies. I NEED MOAR FLAKIES!
BTW, do not mind the state of my hands. The weather has been so dry and cold as well as my usual routine of massive hand washing due to my filthy, filthy job. My body butter, scrubs, paraffin dips and oiling have not helped my hands at all. Le sigh.
Anyway, I was madly in love with this look. It has a cool speckled, almost stone like texture and it is sparkly.
I wore it again yesterday partly because I would have no time to remove and start all over again so I did this:

China Glaze Matte Magic on index and pinkie
Nailene snowflake decals on ring
Extra layers of Zoya Armor on thumb, middle and ring.

Mattifying was amazeballs. I keep forgetting how much I love to do that to glitters. This also wore exceptionally well.
Mind you, I do not celebrate the winter holidays so I don't showcase holiday manis but this is my lone concession. I think I did it because I was looking forward to having three days off. So yeah.

There ya have it. I'm off to swatch some things for you that I have either forgotten to do or because I hated the original pic. Then it's more busy time. I'm going to a friend's birthday party tonight. Tomorrow, I am having breakfast with my awesome mother-in-law and the next day, I will be at my mommy's for much food, drink and RUM BALLS. Oh, hells yes.
