Just can't stop When my spark gets hot

Good day!

It's been a few but I am bringing you another item from my recent hauls.
Today I have L.A. Girl Disco Brites Disco Inferno.

Three coats, no base or top in sun

Disco Inferno is a pinkish red that leans a little orange. The formula was superior to its sibling, Retro. It applied fluidly and smoothly. Dry time was a bit faster than Retro but still quite acceptable.
I really love the Disco Brites range, they came up with some super bright and vibrant colors. Now that my local Fred Meyer carries the entire range, I don't have to buy in teensy quantities because of shipping.  So I will definitely be picking up more from this line.

Now, the claim is that these polishes are reactive under a black light. I could not confirm nor deny this last time because my last encounter with black light didn't happen. So, no pics. This time I can tell you that they do glow under black light. I still don't have pics because I got to test it out at work. (Long story and then some boring policy that I can't divulge...) Anyway, Disco Inferno was a sweet lavender under the black light. It was pretty cool to see the color change and how it glowed. Eventually, I WILL look for the black light bulb that I just know is hanging out in the Halloween decorations in my garage. When I do accomplish that, I WILL take pictures. Promises!
In the mean time, please enjoy another shot of this pretty polish.

I thank you and leave you now. I'm writing this before bed on my Thursday and I is tired girl. Tuesday cannot be over soon enough!
Loves and hugs to all!

Devil on the left Angel on the right There's no mistake who'll I be with tonight

Good evening!

I'm back to work and gearing up for the holiday weekend. But I didn't want to only write about my Eurovision obsession. (It's not terribly interesting to a lot of people. It's cool.)
So I wanted to show you a cute fauxnad I did and a snazzy polish I picked up recently.

First up is Pure Ice Beware:

FOUR coats, no base or top in weak sun

You read correctly that I put four coats on. It was pretty damned opaque at three but I let curiosity get the better of me. This dries quick, does leave a gritty feel but smooths right out with top coat. Unlike a certain gorgeous, purple glitter that I wore on my birthday. Just sayin' is all.
Ah, the sickness I have for silver polishes! Just glad to find a good one at teh Walmarts.

Next is today's Konad:

Mexican Maybelline Colorama in Raspberry as base, three coats
Konad Special Polish in Metallic Pink
Plate M4

This red may be my favorite ever and I bought it at teh Walmarts in Cancun. It's a gorgeous blood red jelly. It dries quick and totally shiny. I'm afraid to use it much because I'm not sure if  can find anything like it here.So if anyone knows of anything like this, PLEASE TELL ME! If you need a better reference, look  HERE.
Anyway, I wanted to do some Konad in the worst way and I was feeling pretty lovey towards Matt, so what better than kisses?
I'm not pleased that the picture came out so bad. But I console myself with these facts:
1. It was 5:30 a.m.
2. I had had only two cups of coffee
3. There sure as hell was no sun
So I took the picture in my kitchen while I was packing my lunch. Bummer. But it was sure cute and made me smile each time I looked at my hands.

This will do it for me. Sadly, I will have to go to bed in an hour. Srsly, I know how to party.
Hope everybody has a super weekend!

Douze Points

Good day!

I was distracted from the blog yesterday because of EUROVISION! I spent my morning watching the rerun of the first semi-final and I will be watching the live webcast of the second semi-final today.
I've mentioned it many times before but I am a fiend for Eurovision. From March to May, I'm all about the contest.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I can't accurately explain why I love this so much. I think it owes more to the fact that we really don't have anything like it in the U.S. American Idol doesn't even come close. After the 2006 show, there was talk of NBC developing an American version but it appears the plans have been scrapped entirely. I think this is good because part of the charm of Eurovision is the diversity, regional rivalries and nationalist pride. We don't really have that here, at least not as passionately. I think the only way to make something like that work is if it included the entire Americas from Canada to Argentina. Maybe even Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Could be fun...
Admittedly, the best part for me is how campy and silly the whole spectacle is. The costuming is often times amazingly tacky, some of the songs are just terrible and the performances are just over the top.

Anyway...I wanted to include some of the nail looks I saw from the first semi but I was unable to find good pictures. Olia Tira from Moldova was sporting some pretty minty/teal tips. Looked like Essie Greenport and complimented her eye makeup.

DSC00365

Malta's entry, Thea Garrett, appeared to have either silver tips or a funky french with a silver tip that complimented her dress. Again, couldn't find any good quality pictures to confirm this.

DSC00502

Pictures of the show are from All Kinds Of Everything's Flickr stream.

I really don't have any favorites this year. It's kind of meh but not nearly as disappointing as last year. I just did not like any song from 2009. But I'm looking forward to seeing who qualifies tonight! I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to see the final live on Saturday but I have to work! Boo. Hiss.

I will leave you with that and hope, hope, hope that EBU gets their servers settled because the site is currently down/running slow. Have a great day!

Jamaican sunrise, you're always in my eyes

Good morning!

As promised yesterday on Twitter, I'm bringing you three new Tip Toe polishes from Old Navy.
I couldn't be happier with them! However, it is weird for me to walk into my old place of business. Even for nail polish. That said, I like the remodeling they are doing and glad they're getting rid of the upstock. I have many horror stories about ladders and upstock.
Let's move on the pics shall we?

First up: Lime Slush

Three coats, no base or top in sun

Guys, this is exactly what I hoped Sally Hansen Lickety-split Lime would be. It is perfect! The formula on this is fantastic. It's a smooth liquid that moves only where you want it. Dry time was beyond my expectations. It rivaled my beloved Orly with its quick dry time. Though it is a creme, it is very shiny. I had some fun layering over it but those are pics for another time!

Next is Tahiti Lagoon

Three coats, no base or top in sun

My camera was just not cooperating with me for this one. That has more to do with the fact that my camera's selector wheel for the settings is just about kaput than anything about the polish.
Tahiti Lagoon is a blue I've been looking for and one I will have to do a comparison with Zoya Yummy.
It's a vibrant, true blue creme with amazing shine. It's not as green toned as Hard Candy Frenzy which is the only other blue I can think of to come close in my stash. Again this applied beautifully and dried super fast.

Finally, we have Crushed Grapes.

Two coats, no base or top in weak sun

I was certainly surprised to find a vampy tossed in with all of these bright summer cremes and sweet shimmers. How could I say no, it is glorious! I'm getting ridiculous with these kinds of colors though. I have a Kleancolor kind of like this and the Sally Hansen mini I showed a brief time ago. (The Kleancolor swatch will be coming. I promise!)
Of the three, this dries the fastest. Like, holy shit, this is dry already? The formula is a snotch thicker and because it does dry so fast, it streaks a little. However, the streaks even out and top coat finishes the job.
I was so enamored of this that I wore it to a birthday party on Saturday night and kept it on as is on Sunday. That's a big win for me because if I don't change my polish the next day, I usually layer or Konad over it.

All three are simply amazing and a very welcome addition to my stash. The price was also to my liking. I picked these up for $3.50 each. Yay and YAY!

That does it for me today. It's my Friday and I'm longing for a lazy day on the couch, watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Have a lovely day, all!

*Edit*

Just looked in my visitor feed and saw Fullerton, California, my former hometown. Greetings to you and thanks for stopping by!

Down from the glen came the marching men

Good morning!
Today I'm bringing you another beauty from my recent Cherry Culture haul.

L.A. Girl Metal Deep Sea Mica
Three coats, no base or top in weak sun

This was a nice surprise! It dried so quickly and applied so nicely. Deep Sea Mica is a great mix of blue and green tones that keeps it from being too teal or too turquoise. It's rather sheer so three coats is best to get the color payoff and opacity. It's not brush stroke-y at all which is a fear when dealing with anything remotely metallic. This is going to be a beautiful canvas for some sea themed Konad! So far so good with this collection and I can't wait to pick up some more!

Now on to the pic spam!

It glows...

Still a little sheer but so nice...

Who else has any colors from the Metal collection? Are you in love or merely like?

That does it for me today. My crazy week is almost over and the next will only be slightly less whacked. But I only have less than a month to go before I go on vacation and see Iron Maiden in concert!
Have a wonderful day all!

I'm drowning in this rush...

Good morning!

Today I'm excited to bring you something I have been wanting for some time. It is so satisfying to be able to take a polish off the most wanted list, let me tell you!
This is another item from Cherry Culture and has made me so happy!

Milani Totally Cool
Two coats, no base or top, indoor light

This is simply stunning. It's a glorious blue toned purple jelly with the prettiest pink glitter. The glitter itself flashes reddish-bronze and gold which was a cool surprise. I know it's supposed to be a dupe for Clarins 230 and it is pretty damned close from the pictures I have seen. That's okay with me but to be honest, I saw Totally Cool BEFORE I heard the legend of 230 and it's magical color mixed from unicorn tears, fairy sweat and dragon piss. So, yeah. I won't lie, 230 is pretty fucking amazing and glorious but I wouldn't have purchased it when it was available. Because I am cheap. If I can't handle spending ten bucks on a bottle of polish, I'm definitely not going to fork over WHAT IS NOW HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS for polish. I'm just sayin'.

 So sexy...

Now to return to Totally Cool. The name fits. It is beautiful. Two coats is pretty snazzy even with VNL showing for that sweet jelly look. A third coat is opaque and probably what I would end up doing. Dry time was acceptable and formula was a bit watery but nothing I couldn't handle. Most importantly, I got something I'd been longing for for under five bucks. That makes for a happy, happy Lamb.
Who took a lot of pictures of this and will now commence with the spamming.

Who has Totally Cool and/or Magical Mythical Clarins 230? What say you? Which is better?

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

In the meadows of heaven, we run through the stars

Good day, friends!

I got some birthday money from Matt to have fun with so I placed a sweet order from Cherry Culture and hauled big time! Today I am showing you something from LA Splash. I have two others I have shown and I'm terribly impressed with this brand. They have gorgeous colors especially the glitters. Best of all, the price is right. I'm hoping that since Walgreens is carrying their eyeliners, they will start carrying the polish too. I know Ulta has it but the nearest one to me is two hours north. Not so convenient.

Anyway, here is Ocean's Fairy:

Two coats, no base or top, weak sun

I am so in love. I adore emerald green. Maybe because it's my birthstone or because green is awesome. This is a blue toned green jelly base packed full of green and gold glitter. In my pictures, the blue tones really stand out but on the nail it appears more emerald. In this light, the gold glitter is hard to see. It appears all green but again, on the nail the gold glitter is apparent. The coverage on this excellent. Two coats has everything opaque and fully covered. The formula is a snotch runny but nothing difficult. Compared to Crimson Tide, swatched HERE, the formula is better. Crimson Tide was thick and dried just a little too quickly. This is a vast improvement. I wasn't finding it becoming tacky on the brush like I did with Crimson Tide.
Once dry, it is bumpy and gritty. Seche will take care of that or in my case, two coats of Out The Door or one coat of Art Club Sealer.  (Speaking of base coat: I can't use Seche on my fingers anymore. It will not dry. But it's still kick ass on my toes. Weird.)

Overall, I'm pleased with this and glad I bought it. I'm getting hooked on this brand and definitely will be buying more. They definitely know how to do a kick ass glitter! Eventually I will buy some of the other finishes but I'm addicted to the glitter for now!

That does it for now. Hoping the day finds you well!

We carry them all away, as we glide through their lost eyes.

Good Day!

It's good to be back. Work life is still hectic and I'm starting to feel a little better. Maybe I'm silly but losing Ronnie James Dio really upset me and I did not have the desire to talk about nail polish. But this is a new day and it's time to get back on track.

Today I'm bringing you a neon orange comparison. We've had crazy storms for the past couple of days and the sun keeps playing hide and seek so I needed to see something really bright.

From index to pinkie:
Sinful Neon Orange, Idyl Neon Orange, Orly Orange Punch and Zoya Lianne
All are three coats, no base or top.

I added the Zoya just for funsies even though it is not a neon. I just didn't want to show a naked pinkie!

The Orly is super bright but it's not like a traditional neon. It dries with a rather satiny finish instead of a matte. The Sinful is very much the traditional neon in that it dries matte and quickly. However, it's not as thin and sheer as some. It's easy to build color pretty quickly and without five million coats. Obviously, applying it over a white works really well to avoid having to build color in a lot of coats and amps up the brightness.
The Idyl is still a little sheer and with a slightly jelly feel. On its own it's pretty bright but next to these beauties, it seems pastel-ish.
The Zoya is definitely my favorite orange. It has a beautiful gold shimmer and it applies like a dream. It's a go to favorite for summer.

Here's a bottle shot because that's just what we do:

That will do it for me. I have to pick up a couple of things for my work wife's birthday this weekend and hang out with my mommy. Have a wonderful day and I hope the weather is much more agreeable wherever you are!

For my broken heart...

Today is a very sad day. My hero is gone.

Ronnie James Dio
1942-2010

I have loved Dio since 1988. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert in 1990 at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, CA. It was my second concert ever.  I maintain that out of all of the concerts I've attended, that particular one is the best show I have ever seen. The second best was when I saw him again in 2001/2002  in Springfield, Oregon at a teeny-tiny club called the Hollywood Taxi. It didn't matter the size of the venue, Ronnie James Dio was going to give you the best performance and make certain you left with a smile on your face.

In the eighth grade, my class was to do presentations on their hero. I chose Dio. His music was inspiring and positive and made a major impact on my life. I wanted to share not just his music but his message that anyone can achieve their dreams no matter the odds. I got an "A" for my presentation even though my teacher was distressed I didn't choose a family member or something. I did not care. I knew who I admired and aspired to be like.
The man himself was gracious and available to his fans and always encouraging. Though I never got to meet him in person, I did get to speak to him on the phone. He was doing an interview on KNAC in Los Angeles.
(Sadly, KNAC is no longer on air on traditional radio but still lives as an internet radio station.) I called in with the hopes of being able to speak with him when the lines opened for questions and I did! Let me tell you, the man was utterly charming. It is one of my most treasured memories.

How lucky metal fans are/were to have someone like him represent our music and our culture. And what a major player he was. Without him, much of what we come to think of as "metal" simply would never have existed. When you see someone throw the horns, that's Dio.  It is not ironic or silly. It's a tribute. It is our sign of solidarity and kinship.

My heart is broken. But I am so grateful. I am grateful for his music and to have found meaning and purpose through it. And I thank Ronnie James Dio for everything he gave to us. Godspeed and goodnight, friend. You shall always have my love and loyalty.

Thank you for indulging me, friends. May you always endeavor to Catch The Rainbow.

Long Live Rock and Roll...

Toga! Toga!

Good morning, friends!

Just a quick post to show you some pics from the toga party I went to last night.
It was really fun, I had some killer jungle juice (NOT too much!) and got to bust a few moves.

My "toga."

This is something I bought in Mexico. It's basically a pareo but you can wrap it, fold it, tie it in a million configurations so it's a dress, skirt, what have you.
It's pretty snazzy and I figured it could make a decent toga.
I kept my modesty intact by wearing a tank top and leggings, plus it's not like the top was providing much coverage.

This is with my super sweet pal, Angi, and my future head cabana boy. I hope to get the Bond girl photo we did with another friend, it is epic. BTW, isn't Angi the cutest girl ever? Her toga was awesome! She also made me my ivy crown. Yay!

Finally, these are two of my special, special ladies. Joede is on the left and Connie in the middle. They are sweet, funny and super fun girls. They were ones who gave me lap dances for my birthday. They are really amazing women and I'm so grateful to be their friend.

Unfortunately, I did not get too many more pics because I was doing a lot of dancing with my friends. What can I say? I'm a dancing fool. However, if anything good crops up beside the Bond girl pic, you know you'll see it here.

That's it for now. I'm headed to work. Thank you for coming by and have a wonderful weekend!

Out in the fields, the fighting has begun

Good morning!

Today I wanted to show you both of the highlighter yellow polishes I own.

Claire's Sunshine and Sinful Neon Melon

Claire's is on index and middle
Sinful is on ring and pinkie
Both are three coats, no base

In real life, the Claire's has a green tone and the Sinful is much more yellow. The Sinful actually is a little thicker and offers a bit more coverage. The camera really doesn't like the neons, that's for sure!
Both dry quickly, don't streak and drag with each brush stroke and really pop over white!

How do you feel about neon? Gaudy and tacky or fun and cheerful? Personally, I love a good neon. They always brighten my mood.

That does it for today. I'm off to work and then a toga party tonight! TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
Have a wonderful day!

Haul the bacon-y goodness!

Hey guys!
Just a quick post to show off some of the goodies I got for my birthday.
My friends definitely know me well and they get my sense of humour!

BACON!!!

Robert and Angi loaded me up with all kinds of fun bacon items. I have bacon band-aids, bacon dental floss, bacon toothpicks, bacon mints (surprisingly good), bacon soap, bacon lip balm and bacon air freshener.
You have no idea how excited I was to get these! My love of bacon is legendary, especially for the bacon chocolate bar. Mmm...
I did get one of those from my sister but I was all OM NOM NOM and it has since been devoured.
It was sublime.

Isn't this gorgeous?

My friend Jeromie gave me this vase and I was so touched and surprised. This is exactly the kind of thing I like. It's currently on my mantle and I love it. It totally works with the decor in my house and the darker woods of my furniture and flooring. Amazeballs!

Of course I got nail polish!

My dear friend/more like sister, Edica,  picked up these Sinful neons for me. She knows how much I *heart* Sinful. I have swatched them and they are fucking awesome. She also got me a couple of masque/facial treatment packs which came in handy when I was recovering from my epic hangover. I totes looked like dog shit until I used the soothing/calming masque.

I received a couple of Sally cards and some of what will be coming in the next few weeks will be the result of that. My sister gave me a super fun gift besides the bacon bar. She got me flowers, wine, gummy candy and a Powerball ticket. Sadly, I did not win the Powerball. If I had, y'all would be coming to a massive party in Cancun. Just sayin' is all. Oh well!

Finally, I want to show you my favorite thing. This again is from Robert and Angi. But i have to provide a little background. For years, I have had an in joke with my Old Navy peeps about eating babies. It's a morbid joke but it was funny to us. (But then again, we worked at Old Navy. We had to find something to keep our spirits up!) This joke has migrated to my current job and it's comforting to know that my pals are all as sick and twisted as I am.
That said, Rob and Angi were trying to find a baby shaped cake pan in which to make me a baby ice cream cake. They weren't able to find one so they got me this in consolation:

Baby Shower, heh, heh, heh.

OMG, it's hilarious! I haven't used it yet because I know the kittehs will totally eat those tiny things. So right now, it's on my vanity and it cracks me up when I see it. It's also next to the sexy birthday card from my work family. (Always let the gay guy pick out the card is what I say.)

I had to share this because it was too cool to keep to myself. My friends are pretty kick ass! I promise birthday pics to come. I have more than what I posted on Facebook but I need to do some serious editing!

So, who here has had the bacon bar? What say you: bacon + chocolate = AWESOME or no way?
Thanks for stopping by!

You better slow that Mustang down

Good day!

Today I'm bringing you a selection of Sally Hansen minis that I picked up at Walgreens back in March. As you will soon be able to tell, I'm way behind on my swatch posts so you will be seeing my nails at various lengths.
Whoops!

Anyhoo, these are from a mini pack that was out during the holidays and I picked it up on clearance.

Mini Silver
Two coats, no base or top in sun

This silver was just a joy to apply. It applied so smooth and with almost no brushstrokes. The dry time was phenomenal and it Konads pretty well. It's a winner!

Mini Red
Two coats, no base or top in sun

It's red. It's a jelly-ish red. It's nothing much to talk about. It's pretty, dried fairly quick and was easy to apply.
It's just not very exciting, is all.

Mini Gold
Two coats, no base or top in sun

This is a lovely gold, not too terribly exciting but I cannot resist a gold polish. It's rather sheer but a third coat makes it opaque. It's glittery and not very brush stroke-y.

Mini Vampy Purple/Wine whathaveyou
Three coats, no base or top in sun

This one is my favorite of the bunch. It is glorious! It's not really purple, it's not really a wine and it's not exactly a beet. It also is a sweet jelly that easily becomes opaque. It has a shiny, vinyl finish that looks like patent leather once you hit it with top coat. This one dries the fastest of the bunch and has no issues with application. I only wish I had this in a full size!

Overall, these are pretty sweet and it didn't hurt my wallet since I got them for around $5. That was a major attraction but I knew I was going to love that vampy and I had to have it!
Yay me!

That does it for now. I'm going to try and enjoy the little bit of sunshine and warmth before it gets swallowed by the rain again! Thank you for stopping by!

She came to me with a serpent's kiss

Good morning!

Today I'm bringing a Hot Topic polish that I bought way back in March that was on clearance.

Unnamed Neon Blue
Three coats over Nailtek Foundation II
Love this bottle!

This is in fact a neon and dries with a vinyl like finish. It's very runny and a little difficult to control. Dry time was super quick. I applied three coats because I had a few bald patches but with a bit more patience two coats will suffice. I love the color but I do not love the smell. No good at all!
I can actually attest to the wear of this because I was sporting it on my days off and the verdict is meh.
All I did that day was go shopping and hung out with my sister and I had several chips. Oh well.
What disappointed me was I decided to layer another polish over it and it all just dissolved. (Oh, the fun of unscientific and inadvertent chemistry experiments!)
I will still keep this in the stash because I do love the color. I can live with the rest!

So now, it's just time for cute kitty pictures!

Gus did not approve of my choice because he didn't get to pick it.

Trixie gave me her stamp of approval, however!

That does it for now, guys! I'll be editing and scheduling posts today because my next two weeks of work will be topsy-turvy.
Not only that, I have to get things ready for my trip to California next month. I'm really excited for it because I will be getting my most awesome, super special birthday gift from my amazing husband! (Those of you who are my friend on Facebook already know!)
What is this gift?

I GET TO SEE IRON MAIDEN IN CONCERT!!

We'll be seeing them in Concord and we're going to have some pretty decent seats. I'm so thrilled because I haven't seen them since 1988 and Matt has never seen them in concert. It will be epic!
Oh, fuck yeah!

I leave you all with my love! Have a beautiful day!

What remains are only memories worth remembering

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day!

Today (and at the crack of freaking dawn, no less) I am bringing you one of Orly's new Summer colors!
I know I didn't receive word about the Viva collection and I just happened upon the display at Sally.
These colors are being packaged with a mini bottle of Top2Bottom basecoat/topcoat.
The collection is a nice one but really one color spoke to me so I grabbed it! However, if you'd like to see the rest you can check out Temptalia's swatches!

Thus, I bring you: La Playa

Two coats over base, indoor light

I am in love with this. It is the perfect navy creme I have been longing for. I have many delicious plans for this beauty!
Anyway, let's talk formula. It's a tad thick but not nearly as much as Snowcone. It applies smoothly and is practically opaque in one coat. I went for two because I was doing my nails practically in the dark and I had some drag marks from it. (I know, I know. But I get up ridiculously early on the weekend.) It's easy to handle though and of course, dries super fast. The color is simply glorious. It's not as dark as Star of Bombay which looks quite black. For a creme, it has terrific shine on its own but once I hit it with top coat, it's gonna look amazaeballs.

I will definitely be using this for Konad/Fauxnad but I'm also thinking of layering combinations.
Like I said, I have many plans. I will also need to post some comparison shots between it, Star of Bombay and Blue Suede. Just for funsies and all that.

Have you seen the Viva collection yet? Are you planning to pick it up? If not, why not? (And shame on you. Orly is so kick ass!)

That does it for me. I have to go to work and then I'm meeting up with my in-laws to celebrate Mother's Day.
BTW, this is also my younger idiot brother's birthday. Here's hoping it's a pleasant one, Steve!
My love and best wishes to all of you moms out there, whether your kids are furry quadrupeds or beautiful homosapiens. VIVA!

Compare and contrast: Reds

Good day, friends!

I was able to do a little shopping at Sally right before my birthday and I picked up some fun stuff.
One thing I did finally pick up was Orly Star Spangled. I already own China Glaze Ruby Pumps so it's seems silly to have purchased this but I have no reds in my Orly collection.
I'm so super picky about red but a snazzy red jelly-ish with glitter is up my alley.
Anyhoo, I wanted to see how Star Spangled stacked up to Ruby Pumps. Behold:

Orly Star Spangled on index and middle
China Glaze Ruby Pumps on ring and pinkie
Both are three coats with no base or top.

As you can see, they're pretty much the same. The Orly has very fine and dense glitter in the bottle. The China Glaze has larger, slightly irregular glitter. On the nail, there's very little difference. However, I feel that Ruby Pumps is a snotch darker because of its glitter.
So which do you buy? Whichever one is on sale. Both have great formula that applies beautifully and both dry ridiculously fast.
Now I have dupes but I'm okay with that. My sister seems bent on stealing my bottle of Ruby Pumps in spite of having her own bottle so it might be in my favor that I picked this up! ;)
As for my prop, it's one of my birthday gifts. I haven't yet tried bacon flavored toothpicks but it has to be good, it's BACON! I do love me some bacon...

That does it for me for the time being. Thanks you for coming by and have a pleasant day!

Birthday Ist Krieg

Good day, friends!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I have been away for awhile because of the big ass birthday business but I'm back.
I did have a wonderful birthday party and this the short version of my night:

I may or may not have been kissing on my friend, Liz, all night.
I definitely received three lap dances.
It is possible that I had been only drinking some fantastic Ninkasi beer and feeling fine but most definitely not drunk.
It is true that my friends started buying me shots within the last twenty minutes I was at the bar.
It is also true that though I did not want said shots nor did I want to drink them, I did because I did not want to hurt any feelings.
It is absolutely true that I was completely smashed and went home and regurgitated.
I will affirm that I did indeed go to work the next day but was trying to convince my friend to kill me dead because my tummy HATED me.
I can confirm that it took me nearly three days to recover from this nightmare.

So that's why I haven't been around lately. It's also why I don't drink like that. I'm a two beer or wine kinda girl. No more than that!
That said, I had a great time with my friends and I got some super sweet gifts. Pictures of that to follow soon.

In the meantime, I would like to thank you all for stopping by and sending me birthday wishes.
It meant so much to me!
Love for you all!
