Like drunken monkeys

Good morning!

Today is my Friday and I'm dead, done, over. What a long week! It will be worse next week, I have a 10 hour day coming up and several interminable meetings. Dang. Hope the weather will improve soon so I can at least have some nice bike rides.

That said, I have a couple of swatches that I forgot about to show you.

First up is China Glaze Blue Sparrow.

Three coats, no base or top

This is quite lovely but why, oh why are glitters refusing to be opaque on me? For reals. I see gorgeous swatches of this and they are pretty damned opaque. But not on me. Son of a...
Do you also love how my nails are all ragged in this? They're not even behaving with my glass file. Oy. I am not friends with my nails now.

Next, I have Sinful Hottie.

Seriously, this is three coats on all fingers.
My skills no longer exist.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

My bottle of this is so thick and kind of gloopy. I've decided not to use thinner on it but mix some of it with clear polish in a silicone baking cup when I want to use it. (Thanks for that tip from Nevertoomuchglitter!)

So there you have it along with my whining. Lucky! :/
Thanks for indulging me guys. Hope y'all have a wonderful day!

  1. my sinful is the same gloppy mess!

  2. It's not your fault, it's the polish--at least in Hottie's case, I'm sure.

  3. I only put Hottie over a blue creme and just end up patting it on to get the max glitter. I suppose they make it super thick so the glitter will be evenly suspended in the polish.

  4. Hey I just wanted to tell you that I tagged you for the Stylish Blogger Award

  5. Glad to know I'm not alone with the dismay about Hottie's formula.

    But dang, it's so pretty.

  6. i know it's a bit late to comment this but really! i love love love your sense of humour!

  7. Kati - Thank you so much. I like to think I'm funny. ;)

Thank you for coming by! I deeply appreciate each comment and I do my best to respond in a timely fashion.
