Ridiculously Old Spam

Good morning guys!

I was going through my pictures and I found a batch of super old pics of  L.A. Colors that I never posted.
They're all from two mini Intense sets. I think I didn't post them because they ended up being underwhelming and I gave three of the pinks away. I only took pics of three since I was so not into it.

So here ya go.

 Unnamed blue, two coats

 Unnamed green, two coats

Unnamed yellow, three coats

Holy bats! That yellow is pretty bad. I suppose I could use it to layer with but I don't think so. Wow.
The blue is a snooze but it Konads rather well over light colors. The green is okay and may have some potential. Overall, these are incredibly disappointing in color.
I got mine at Cherry Culture for pretty cheap so if you find something to love about it, that's where you need to be.

That will do it for me for now. I have lots of things to go through to bring you. See you soon!

The darkening

Good day!

Well, holy bats! I have yet another sponge gradient manicure to show you. However, this one suits my increasingly dark mood. I've been having big effing problems with my EVO lately and it is making me so angry!
I hate that an update totally fuxxored it and I can't even reset to factory settings. So I have to try and reactivate my old phone while I send my EVO off to be serviced. I am not happy.

Thus, my grumpy manicure:

Base is Revlon Powder Puff
Sponging is China Glaze Recycle
and
LA Splash Abyss

I got nothing. I'm going to crawl into my cave of fury. See you when I feel better.

The burning darkness

Good day!

Today I'm showing a couple of manis I did last week. I previously showed swatches of WNW Gray's Anatomy. I talked about layering it over black and Essie Chinchilly and not being happy with either combo and not photographing it. I wasn't about to give up on layering with Gray's so I ran for my favorite grey creme.

Base is two coats of China Glaze Recycle
topped with
two coats of WNW Gray's Anatomy

Recycle was the perfect choice for this. It was precisely the look I wanted to achieve. What a stunning pairing! I was loving it so much that I did not want to remove it even though I had tip wear so this is what I did the next day:

Same as above but
sponged with Orly Halley's Comet and Galaxy Girl
Flower is Konad Special Polish white and
fauxnad plate C01

I did not sponge on the ring finger, I just refreshed with top coat and stamped. My pics don't do justice to what I actually got. I placed my sponging randomly on each nail but made to sure to leave enough space for the original combo to show. The sponge was sheer enough that the lovely duochrome still flashed and made for a lovely effect.

Sponging has been a go to for me lately. I appreciate how easy and quick it is to do. What a great way to refresh a mani when you lack time.

That does it today. I gots work, work, work. Le sigh...

Exchange the cold days for the sun

Good day!

I am desperate for a vacation, guys. I'm seriously exhausted and all I want is to sit on the beach and drink mojitos. There's hope my trip to Cancun will come back to life but it may not be until April. It's so difficult to wait!
That said, I have a super sunny mani to show you that was largely inspired by an awesome Black Shatter mani I saw on Lacquer Laine.
I don't have Black Shatter or any snazzy crackle top coat but I did get to play with some Fauxnad and gave myself a great mani.

Base is one coat L.A. Girl Matte White
Sponging from base to tip:
China Glaze Kiwi-cool-ada
Sinful Neon Melon
Sinful Summer Peach
Flower is Konad Special polish white and plate C02

I really wanted to use black for my stamp but I had really bad transfers so I settled for white. Don't mind my cuticles. They are healing quite nicely after being mutilated and abused by a label scratcher. (It was a work injury.)
I'm quite pleased with how this came out. Now, if only I was admiring it at Gran Melia Cancun's pool...

That will do it for today. I'm off to get things done before my work week starts all over again.

Reeling in the years...

Good day!

Lately, I've been a bit wistful and nostalgic so I poured it out into another Polyvore set.
I'm a snotch homesick and since my vacation plans are all up in the air, I've been thinking about planning a trip to Orange County to visit my girlfriend, Chris. I've been working like crazy and yesterday I worked just shy of a twelve hour day. So I'm tired. And tired of the cold. (Don't believe the hype about how gorgeous it is on the West Coast right now because Oregon ain't. I wake up to freezing fog every morning and ride into icy wind on my way to work.)
All of this adds up to a cranky, maudlin Lambchop and nobody likes that.

Anyway. I give you an idea of how I dressed during the end of the 80s. I'm not super thrilled with this set only because I had a hard time finding a decent pic of a KNAC shirt that would even show up. The shirt is VERY important. KNAC was THE station you listened to in Southern California if you liked hard rock/metal. It had a notoriously weak and unreliable signal and was braodcast from Long Beach but once you tuned in, you got to rock hard and be entertained. It was a godsend for this metal girl in not cool at the time Orange County.
You had to own one of the shirts and plaster everything you could with their bumper stickers. (All of my binders were covered as well as my skateboard.) I was over the moon when I finally got my shirt. I have a lot of great memories of KNAC both as a listener and dedicated stalker of on-air personalities. But, those are stories for another time.

In my day...

In my day... by Mighty Lambchop featuring sterling silver jewelry

Please to excuse my inane rambling. I'm still tired despite three espressos.
However, I'd love to hear some of your teen year memories. I hope you'll share!

I love you, Norway.

Sail away to the other side

Good day!

I've been playing around on Polyvore again!
This is my Sirenia set because I cannot wait for their newest album, "The Enigma of Life," to be released.

Note that my favorite polish of all time is featured!
