Hot Mess Tapestry

Good morning!

Today I am sharing my attempt at re-creating nail art I did back in March. It had all started with trying to coordinate with a top I was wearing that didn't quite work out. What I did end up with was fun and I never did take a photo of it. So...I challenged myself and failed. I'm posting this anyway because it does have some valuable information.

Base is China Glaze Smoke and Ashes

 Stamp colors are:
Butter London Bumster
L.A. Girl Iron Red
CQ Rustic Dream
Hard Candy Beetle

Plates used:
Konad m15
Fingr's B25

This is not at all what I had originally done. I really couldn't recall all of the elements of the original look. However, some of the more important elements are there. Here's where the valuable information comes in.
You can stamp with L.A. Girl Iron Red, which I reviewed HERE. I had been pleasantly surprised to find that CQ Rustic Dream worked in stamping as well. I love that polish, it is a gorgeous multichrome that I showed you HERE. I loved that it appears almost like a wine color over black as well as its fiery orange in other angles. Which you can see in the middle photo.

The problem I have with this is that Beetle is beautiful stamped over black but it's much too similar to Rustic Dream and Iron Red. (Iron Red still has great sparkly glitter.)  Butter London Bumster was a surprise that it could be stamped as well. It's not a perfect choice but it works pretty well and gives another color option.

I'm still kicking myself for not documenting the original manicure.I hope you enjoyed this and I hope I've given you some more ideas for your stamping. Thank you so much for coming by. I hope you have a great day!
